When people donate to or support an organisation, they deserve to know that their support is being handled responsibly. Widest Heart Love Foundation takes this responsibility seriously and has zero tolerance for fraud, bribery, corruption or the misuse of funds.
Fraud includes theft, false accounting, misuse of the Foundation’s assets or funds, offering or accepting bribes, and knowingly providing false information for personal gain. This policy applies to trustees, staff, volunteers, partners and suppliers.
As the Foundation grows it will continue to put appropriate systems in place for financial management, record keeping, programme monitoring, beneficiary registration and reporting. These include keeping proper records of income and expenditure, tracking every donation, requiring authorisation for payments, and separating duties so that no single person controls a transaction from start to finish.
Anyone who suspects fraud or financial wrongdoing should report it promptly to the Foundation’s trustees using the details on our Contact page. Reports may be made in confidence, and anyone who raises a genuine concern will be protected from retaliation.
All reports are taken seriously and investigated. Where fraud is found, the Foundation will take appropriate disciplinary, civil or criminal action and will seek to recover any losses.
We expect the same standards of honesty and transparency from the partners and suppliers we work with.
This policy is reviewed regularly and strengthened as the Foundation’s systems develop.
